About Craggs Energy.
Craggs Energy has been supplying a wide range of fuel solutions for homes, farms, and business for over 12 years.
From several delivery depots based in Lancashire and Yorkshire, Craggs Energy deliver Kerosene (Heating Oil), Red Diesel (Gas Oil), DERV (White Diesel), Renewable Diesel (HVO) and a wide range of Industrial Fuels and Lubricants to hundreds of residential properties and commercial locations daily.
Who are Craggs Energy?
Craggs Energy Ltd was established in October 2011 with just three staff members, one tanker and one emergency 4×4 Land Rover.
Craggs Energy has since expanded to employ over forty people operating a large diverse fleet of vehicles across a number of depots in the North West and Yorkshire regions.
100% Employee-owned.
In March 2022, Craggs Energy officially became an employee-owned business. Shareholders transferred 100% of the business to Craggs colleagues via an Employee Ownership Trust.
Craggs Energy are members of the Employee Ownership Association which represents and celebrates employee-owned businesses across the UK.

Craggs Energy is passionate about the environment, and they embrace the ever-changing energy landscape. They are always looking for ways to support their customers to reduce their carbon footprint.
Craggs Energy are proud to be one of the first distributors in the UK to offer a triple verified carbon offsetting scheme to its customers. As a GBF approved distributor, Craggs Energy opened the first in-land HVO terminal in the UK.

How it all started.
Our History.
Craggs Energy Ltd was established in October 2011 and was set up by Ralph Thornber, his wife June Thornber and their daughter and son-in-law Heidi and Chris Bingham.
Ralph formerly owned the Townson Thornber Distributorship and sold out in the 1980’s – where his name was established for delivering high levels of customer service and ensuring all his customers received their deliveries on time. Many of the original staff that worked for Ralph were keen to come back and work for him in his new venture and we still have those very same members of staff with us today.
Along with his son-in-law Chris Bingham, they set up a depot in Cragg Vale to deliver fuel to the local community. Coming from a software business background, Chris had a very good understanding of the consumer market and new technology.
