Craggs Energy has you covered!

From today (24th July) face coverings are mandatory in all shops and stores throughout England.

Since the beginning of lockdown Craggs Energy has supplied over 1,200 face covers to customers, staff and partners like the Calderdale Young Farmers Club, Ribble FM and local charities which include Overgate Hospice and Lancashire Women’s Centre. One pack even made its way to some of our friends in Germany!

Selina Lodge, Head of Capital Appeal at Overgate Hospice said, “A huge thank you to The Craggs Energy Group for donating 50 packs of face covering masks to Overgate. They are really comfy and luxurious, thank you so much!”

All products have been sourced locally and the face covers were produced by local suppliers Luna Textiles. Shaun Daniels, Director comments:

“The fabric used is a high quality breathable Italian made satin silk finish cotton and the inner fabric is made from a material that has a hydrophilic finish. This means that the fabric offers excellent moisture management while still providing a wonderful soft touch.”

Guidance has been issued with every pack of face covers with instructions on how to appropriately use, wash and store the face covers so they can be used more than once.

Chris Bingham, CEO at Craggs Energy said:

“Our number one priority has always been the safety of our staff and customers that’s why we initially produced 200 face covers, but with such a positive response and high demand within our community and customer base we produced another 1,000 free face covers straight away.

I’m delighted that we could give something back to our community, especially for a number of charities that have been struggling with donations and a constant supply of PPE. I’ve seen a few of our covers in action but I’m sure I will be seeing plenty more due to the change in law today!”

Adele Helm, Business Development Officer at Lancashire Women’s Centres commented:

“A great big thank you to the team from Craggs Energy for donating face masks for our key working staff to use, keeping our staff safe.”
