Craggs Energy Makes Net Zero Pledge
We are delighted to announce our Net Zero pledge.
Working in partnership with Greenarc – which specialises in easing the world’s journey to clean energy – we are pledging to take significant steps that will enable us to contribute to a more sustainable future.
Through measures that mitigate climate change, our ultimate goal is to achieve Net Zero emissions!
This pledge will result in:
1. the production of a comprehensive carbon report which will detail our current emissions footprint
2. a strategic plan that will outline the steps that we’ll take through scope 1, 2 and 3 to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in a way that will enable us to achieve our Net Zero goal.
The global environmental industry’s commitment to achieving Net Zero calls for signatories to set science-based targets to address greenhouse gas emissions within their organisations.
Our pledge is supported by each and every member of our team, who will make sure it is owned, implemented, and the processes managed, so that we can hit our Net Zero targets.
Our journey to Net Zero
We will do everything we can to minimise our own carbon footprint and that of our customers through a number of initiatives, including alternative supplies, power generation, processes, travel, and carbon insetting.
We are continuing to provide customers who may have little choice but to use heating oil or conventional fuels the ability to buy renewable fuels, and offset their fuel carbon emissions by funding CO2 reduction certified projects.
We are focused on optimising our tankers’ routes through eco-routing while transitioning to renewable fuel options like HVO, GTL, and other alternative blends. These efforts help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, NOx, and total particulate matter (TPM), allowing us to make a positive impact on our business, customers, and the planet.
Firmly aligned with UK Government, who have set the ambitious target of achieving “Net Zero” for carbon emissions by 2050, we are committed to doing our part to ensure these goals are met!
