Craggs Energy Sponsors Local Under 8s Football Team
Craggs Energy, the Northern-based fuel supplier and distributor, have sponsored a local community sports team. Hapton under 8’s Junior Football Club has been sponsored by the leading fuel company and has used the funds to supply the team with a full playing kit. Craggs Energy aligns its values and ethos to support community projects and clubs. Investing in the growth and development of the youth in the North-West region is important to them.
The team’s coach, Danny Almond and Head of Renewable Fuels at Craggs said:
“Thank you to Craggs Energy for supporting our team, the kit arrived a couple of weeks ago and it looks great, and my team is now ready to compete in the league. In our first game against Padiham FC we won with a fantastic score of 8:3. I like to give back to my community by training the youngsters. I played football semi-professionally for Burnley, Blackburn, and Preston in my early years and I try to bring discipline, endurance, and pass on my own football skills to the next generation. I like to bring what I know and love to the youth groups – teaching them a sport they love is fulfilling on so many levels.’’
Matthew Crockett, MD of Craggs Energy comments:
‘’We’re pleased to have played our part in supporting a local youth football team and we are looking forward to hearing them succeed and progress. Not only this, I’m delighted to support a valued member of our team with his passion outside of work. Danny is doing something really positive in the area and we are more than happy to support his team with sponsorship. As a local business with a fuel depot based in Padiham I believe it’s important to support community projects.”
