Frequently
Asked Questions
Your questions, answered by our customer service team.

-
How much OIL can I secure for the year?
-
What happens if I don’t take delivery of the total volume I order in 12 months?
If you receive less than the contracted volume when you reach your contract expiry you have two options. Firstly, you are eligible to roll the undelivered fuel into a new contract, lowering the levels for the following year or secondly, you can arrange a buyback with us of any undelivered fuel at the price you paid less a 20% administration fee.
-
What happens if I use all of my fuel before the end of my 12-month contract and I need more?
If you should need more than the contracted volume before you reach your contract expiry you again have two options. Firstly you may choose to start a new 12-month contract, or secondly, if the prices are unreasonably high, you may choose to take a delivery based on the spot price and fix later when the market is more appealing. Our team will provide you with the best options at the time and are always available to answer any queries you may have.

-
What happens if there is a shortage of supply in the UK?
Providing you have contracted with us to buy your fuel on a fixed basis, you are guaranteed to receive the volume you have fixed. The only threat to your supply is extreme weather such as heavy snowfall which causes some roads to be closed.
-
What if the price of oil goes down?
Should the price of oil fall lower than the price you have fixed for then this is a small risk of taking this contract. However in a rising market the financial benefits soon outweigh this risk. By fixing the price you pay you remove the risk of waiting to buy your oil in an ever fluctuating and unpredictable market.
-
What is the time window for delivery from when I place my order?
The standard delivery time frame is within 10 working days – however most partners will deliver your fuel much quicker than the standard allowance.
-
What happens if I usually buy an additive?
If you buy an additive for your heating oil you can simply add this to your contract price and it will be delivered with the fuel. Our team will be happy to provide full details.
-
What happens if I run out of fuel?
In the unlikely event that you run out of fuel you can place an order online 24 hours a day and wait for the delivery. Should you require an Emergency Delivery an additional charge of £100 will be added to the delivery depending on the timeframe required. By sending you regular communication and keeping on top of your contract we will try to ensure this doesn’t happen!
