It’s been a whole year since we officially announced that Craggs Energy is an employee-owned business!
We’ve had a spectacular 12 months, here’s a look back at our journey and achievements since we formed our Employee Ownership Trust in March 2022:

- We officially launched our Employee Ownership Trust

| April 2022 |
- Supported Gas Oil users with the switchover to diesel or an alternative fuel such as renewable diesel.
- Upgraded our 4×4 fleet with two new custom Ford Rangers.
- Welcomes business studies students to our head office to learn about what it means to be an employee-owned business.
- Announced our partnership with GBF Ltd for the UK’s first in land renewable diesel terminal.

- Introduced a mental health initiative during #mentalhealthawarenessweek
- Our MD, Matthew Crockett featured in fuel oil news magazine for a day in the life profile.
- Our chairman, Chris Bingham, won the Green Leader of the year award at the Northern Business Awards.

- We took part in our first #EODay – a national celebration of employee-owned businesses.

| July 2022 |
- We sponsored a local football team which is managed by our commercial sales manager, Danny Almond
- We were shortlisted for employer of the year at the Calderdale Business Awards.

- Signed a three-year deal to transition all company cars to electric by 2024

- Welcomed new general manager, David Damary-Thompson to our employee-owned business

- Our chairman, Chris Bingham won entrepreneur of the year at the Calderdale Business Awards.
- Members of our team attended our first EOA Conference in Liverpool.
- Introduced the first truck in our next-generation fleet which features Ribblehead Viaduct and Pendle Hill.

- Major growth sparked a recruitment drive for HGV drivers, sales and finance specialists and brand managers.

- Our data technician, Dan Lynch featured in our industry magazine promoting apprentices in the downstream industry.

| January 2023 |
- Rewarded our team with their first share of profits since the trust was formed and launched our #weownit campaign.
- Showcased the second truck in our next-generation fleet which features The Piece Hall and Kilnsey Cragg.

- Latest fully electric car joins our company car fleet for newly appointed commercial sales manager, Danny Almond
|
Our first year as an EOT has been a brilliant experience, and we all feel the positive effects. We are continuously growing, adapting and innovating daily to ensure that we deliver on our vision in accordance with our values and thrive as a 100% employee-owned business.
